Nylon clings close, strengthens and keeps things in line and out of the way of your fencing: A wide band of it from rib cage to waist, like a giant cummerbund, protects the flank and cinches adjustably on a large Velcro patch; a sturdy nylon zipper in front and a stretchy pocket in back; doubly-ply legs (again, forget sweats or jeans - they are usage for legs and flanks); and elastic cuffs that snug in long socks and complete an unbroken line of sleep feeling and security. Suspenders not only do what every fireman knows but transfer the cling and sense of contained power up through the top of the body.
